This week, KIVI welcomed a review team from the International Professional Engineers Agreement (IPEA) to the Netherlands. The team assessed our registration system for Chartered Engineers against that for International Professional Engineers as part of our application for full IPEA membership.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the review team, Patty Mamola (USA), Janis Swan (New Zealand), and Stephen Chik (Hong Kong) for their visit, their time, and the open discussions. Thanks also to everyone who contributed this week: the Chartership Board, the Chartership Committee, the Registrar, the Executive Board, Chartered Engineers, and colleagues from the KIVI office. The evaluation report is expected to follow in January 2027, and the decision in June 2027. Once approved, KIVI will be the first organization on the European mainland with a full IPEA membership.
